The overall system is far from finished, but this particular bit works 
OK and you can get the code from Subversion at 
http://svn.chezphil.org/slugcam/trunk/mpegdaemon/.

It shouldn't be hard to build, though there are no instructions.  I will 
write something eventually.  You should probably check out from one 
level higher in the directory hierarchy and then you'll also get libpbe, 
a utility library that I share between various projects.  Let me know 
(directly) if you have any problems.
