There were changes a while back in how msp3400 handles audio modes, 
however the pvrusb2 driver should be tracking those changes - and any 
breakage resulting from that should have been earlier than this snapshot.

Please send me the output of this command:

cat /sys/pvrusb2/*/debuginfo

That will dump info from the pvrusb2 driver which relates how it is 
talking to each chip level driver, including of course msp3400.
