This may not be any help, but I am using Fedora 11 with Mythtv and a
pair of 29032 pvrusb2's and have not had any problems with them. The
pvrusb2 module is the one that was distributed with the latest Fedora 11
kernel, so I am not compiling from source:

[rja at moria ~]$ uname -a
Linux moria.rogera.net 2.6.29.6-217.2.3.fc11.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jul 29 16:02:42 EDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

[rja at moria ~]$ dmesg | grep -i pvrusb2
usbcore: registered new interface driver pvrusb2
pvrusb2: V4L in-tree version:Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2 MPEG2 Encoder/Tuner

One is recording channel 4 from a Comcast STB and gets a workout
recording shows on Comedy Central.

Let me know if you need any more info.
