Can't offer you any suggestions, but in case it helps, here's a snippet from

The system is OpenSUSE with a 2.6.31.8 x86_64 kernel.

I've now unplugged the pvrusb and will let it sit for a while to cool down and 
let its memory randomize.  Will report back later if the results are 
different.
