Those "tda9887 5-0043: i2c i/o error: rc == -5 (should be 4)" came since a 
long time (I reported this before) and seem to be harmless.

I tested it also with http://linuxtv.org/hg/~mcisely/pvrusb2-20100205/ and 
there are also no problems.
