Hi all,

Due to the different responses I got I decided to do a
small test.
my own copy function (using fread/fwrite) failed after
writing 2GB.
However, cat indeed gave me more than 4 GB (after
which I stopped it).

I investigated this. My cat is the one from busybox
and if I dig into it I see that it uses read/write
(instead of the f* versions I used).

I also had a look at playability.
mplayer definitely will go beyond the 2G mark, but my
test file was only something like 4.1 GB so I am not
sure if I could playback beyond the 4G mark.
I am now creating a longer file (but this takes a
little bit of time :-). Will report the results later.

Best regards, Frans.

PS. I am using an ext3 fs (someone asked)
