Sounds like there's almost a call for a pvrusb2-tools "package" to go 
along with the driver.  For example, a simple run-once tool to do things 
such as set permissions, do group lookups and the like.

No, I'm not quite volunteering -- I'm just putting the idea forward to 
suggest such a setup tool that would be included alongside the driver 
for ease of setup in light of this thread.
