Martin:

I understand that in PAL areas, audio demodulation can be tricky and that 
the tda9887 configuration factors greatly into this.  But the intermittent 
messed-up symptoms you're describing smells like a possible hardware 
problem.  Can you get the device working cleanly in Windows?...
