Roger:

I'd much rather you send me those clips.  Because if there is a real 
difference in the driver I'd like to at least try to track it down.  
You've asserted there is a problem in the driver here; I want to see the 
clips which show this.  I think the odds are much more likely you've got 
something strange going on in MythTV, but if that is the case then the 
samples (grabbed via "cat /dev/video0 >/tmp/foo1.mpg" or similar) should 
be fine.  On the other hand, if those clips demonstrate what you are 
talking about then I want to know.
