Just making noise here first.  Wondering if anybody else has seen
similar activity here.  I'd hate to spend two days on the lirc mailing
list, only to find out, people here already knew of the issue!

As far as the topic of this thread, this is the first time I've seen
this specific issue.  <shrugs>  maybe I finally managed to break the
device! Anyways, I believe my device is "out of warranty".  A likely
reason as to why Hauppauge Support kept loosing my emails over the year.

But, if I read between the lines here, you've never seen such activity
on syslog concerning this threads topic.

(echi_hcd is kernel related and blocked my pvrusb2 device from working
unless it was compiled as a module and able to be reloaded.  anyways,
this issue is separate of this thread.)
