Interesting information. So it does in fact sound like some recent
tuner fixes in v4l-dvb might be the key here. Others who might search
this for this topic - take note!
FYI, I run Debian here and I generally always build a custom kernel from
kernel.org. It's generally possible to do this regardless of which
distribution you're using (well, I imagine this wouldn't be true for
something specialized like android, but for a mainstream general purpose
distro, custom kernel builds should always be possible).
