[pvrusb2] new kernel breaks hauppuage pvrusb2 and hvr-1950 withmythtv

I plan on some testing later on today (currently building a small pile 
of new kernel versions) and hopefully should have more answers soon.

I don't understand this statement.  Are you running something to change 
the permissions on /dev/video0 after the fact?  It would be much better 
in that case to set up a udev rule so it's correct "the first time", or 
ensure that the mythtv user is a member of the group associated with 
/dev/video0.

I would expect mythbackend to look at all its tuners every time it 
starts.

Unsure about this.  It's been a while since I've had to fix things in 
this driver, but I plan additional investigation hopefully later today.

The pvrusb2 driver itself hasn't had any substantial changes in quite a 
while.  However it's operating in a video4linux environment that is a 
moving target.  There's always a concern that a surrounding change might 
break the driver.  That's the sort of thing I will be looking at.
